Venture Capital Investment Competition

About VCIC

The Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC) was founded in 1998 as an educational event for Master of Business Administration students to learn more about venture capital. Throughout the years, VCIC has provided an opportunity for entrepreneurs to cultivate meaningful relationships with prospective investors and for future venture capitalists to gain valuable insights from an immersive experience.

Every year, VCIC includes more than 50 events on four continents and serves over 1,500 students, 150 venture capitalists, and 100 entrepreneurs. The program is similar to a network of mini-venture fairs, wherein about a quarter of the entrepreneurs who present go on to raise venture funding.

VCIC is different than traditional pitch competitions because students are the investors, and the entrepreneurs pitch to them. This approach is a powerful learning experience for both parties. In addition, add to the mix a dozen venture capitalists judges, and you have what we call a “win-win-win” situation. This means three parties reap benefits: students expand their knowledge and win cash, entrepreneurs connect with investors to market themselves, and venture capitalists network with industry peers and receive early insight into pre-vetted, viable deals.

VCIC attracts top talent from the best schools worldwide
